Jesse Eisenberg also works magic with passers-by in New York!

And transforms a simple card trick into a surprise preview for the next film in the Elusive saga: Now You See Me, Now You Don’t.

Jesse Eisenberg thought he was a magician. For real.

The actor played the illusionist for an afternoon at Hudson Yards, in the heart of New to promote the highly anticipated Now You See Me: Now You Don’t (alias Elusive 3 In France).

Under the eyes of a crowd of amazed onlookers, Eisenberg invited a few passers-by to participate in his act before revealing the final twist:

“All the cards I gave you are actually… tickets to our preview!” he said.

Spectators then discovered that they had just received invitations for the very first screening of the film. Immediate shouts and applause.

The actor then took the time to thank the curious people gathered, promising those who had not received a card some consolation prizes, between posters and T-shirts of the film.

The event, obviously orchestrated by Lionsgate, marks the kickoff of the promotion of Now You See Me: Now You Don’tthird part of the franchise initiated in 2013.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer, Elusive 3 will be released in cinemas on November 12 in France.
