Josiane Balasko reinvents life annuity in L’Arnaqueuse: trailer
Fadily Camara and Jean-Pascal Zadi are going to get sucked into this new French comedy.
Half a century ago, we remember that Michel Serrault sold his property in Saint-Tropez in Life annuity in the film by Pierre Tchernia (written by René Goscinny). The concept is still a good basis for biting social comedy in 2026.
This time, it is Josiane Balasko who will abuse the trust of Fadily Camara and Jean-Pascal Zadi in The Scammer. The farce, produced by FullDawa Films and Douze Doigts Productions, reveals its trailer (below).
The synopsis states: “Fanny, 30 years old, pregnant, can no longer bear living at her father’s house with Virgil, her partner, champion of procrastination. So when she comes across a golden offer: an apartment with “parquet floors, moldings, fireplaces” for life annuity in Paris, she rushes headlong. But Masséna, the saleswoman, is anything but dying… Determined to recover the keys to her new life, Fanny engages in a merciless war against the professional scammer.“
Tiphaine Daviot, Denis Mpunga, Pablo Pauly, Amaury de Crayencour, Bertrand Usclat, Marc Riso, Ted Etienne, Adama Bathily and Henri Guybet will complete the cast.
Directed by Wilfried Méance, The Scammer will be released in cinemas on April 22, 2026 in France.
