Sonic 4: a first teaser announces the entire cast and the return of Jim Carrey
Ben Kingsley and Nick Offerman join the troupe.
From the Caesar scene to the little blue hedgehog.
The first teaser of Sonic 4 has just dropped, and it confirms massive casting for the return of SEGA’s supersonic hedgehog. And yes, Jim Carrey will be back in the role of Dr. Robotnik.
Around him, we find the already well-established voices of the franchise (in VO): Ben Schwartz (Sonic), Idris Elba (Knuckles), Colleen O’Shaughnessey (Tails) and Keanu Reeves, still behind the mysterious Shadow. On the live-action side, James Marsden and Tika Sumpter are also back.
But the real surprise comes from the newcomers: Ben Kingsley and Nick Offerman join the adventure. in as yet unknown roles.
A casting which marks a fun reunion between Offerman and Schwartz, former partners in Parks and Recreation.
Another notable addition, Kristen Bell will lend her voice to Amy Rose, cult character from the Sonic universe, known for her obsession with the blue hero.
As is often the case at this stage, details of the plot are still being kept secret.
Since its cinema debut in 2020, the saga Sonic has established itself as a sure bet at the box office, with nearly 7 million admissions in France and more than $1.2 billion in revenue worldwide.
Sonic 4 will be released on March 24, 2027 in cinemas in France.
