Comancheria director returns with heist film: trailer

Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Theo James and Sam Worthington lead the cast of The Criminals.

In 2016, David Mackenzie caused a sensation with Comancheria. Presented at the Cannes Film Festival, in the Un Certain Regard section, this neo-western written by Taylor Sheridan (between Sicario And Wind River) had little success at the box office before landing four Oscar nominations, including best picture.

The director’s next two feature films (Outlaw King And The intermediary) have rather gone unnoticed. But today we find him at the helm of a new project, the British thriller The Criminals (Fuze in original version), which will be presented this week at the Reims Polar Festival.

The Criminals brings together three actors who were once or still are candidates for the role of James Bond: Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Theo James and Sam Worthington. More Gugu Mbatha-Raw, notably known for the series Loki Or The Cloverfield Paradox.

Synopsis: The discovery of a bomb dating from the Second World War prompts a mass evacuation from London. A team of robbers sees this as the perfect opportunity for a high-voltage heist.

The trailer promises a good big heist film with twists and turns, which French spectators will be able to discover in cinemas from May 6.
