Audrey Fleurot reveals a preview of The Countess of Monte Cristo

A daring rereading of Alexandre Dumas’ novel, around a much more adventurous Mercédès Herrera… Coming soon on TF1.

While we will see her this summer in the cinema opposite Ramzy Bedia in Les Perfect(s), Audrey Fleurot will soon be on TF1’s The Countess of Monte-Cristo.

Filming of the event series, a free adaptation of the novel by Alexandre Dumas, has been completed. And the actress revealed two first photos on Instagram, which show Mercedes on the bow of a ship. Because in this version, she will be a much more adventurous Mercedes Herrera:

“Marseille, 1815. Mercédès Herrera is ready to do anything for the man she loves, Edmond Dantès, a sailor with a bright future. But their happiness is cruelly shattered by a merciless betrayal. Edmond, wrongly accused, is torn from Mercédès and thrown into the depths of the Château d’If, without hope of return. Devastated but determined, Mercédès sets out on a frantic race to save him, but Edmond is killed during their attempt escape and she finds herself locked up, condemned to languish in a cell next to the one that housed the love of her life” details the synopsis. “In this abyss of pain, everything seems lost. Mercédès now has only one goal, to take revenge on those who destroyed her life: Fernand, her own cousin, secretly in love with her; Danglars, an ambitious manipulator; and above all Héloïse de Villefort, the implacable wife of the city prosecutor…”

Simon Ehrlacher and Zabou Breitman will complete the cast.
