Manu Payet becomes great in Germany: trailer
A school trip that will end in a lollipop in a new feel good comedy: Become Génial will be seen in theaters next month.
After Louise Bourgoin who took her Latin class on an excursion to Rome in Repeat (in 2024), it’s Manu Payet’s turn to go on a challenging linguistic school trip, but this time to Germany. Bad luck… he doesn’t speak a word of Goethe’s language.

“Mathias is a teacher and has finally obtained his transfer to his daughter’s college. However, as soon as he arrived, he was told that his German class was going to close due to lack of enrollees. He then decides to organize a trip to Germany to motivate teenagers to choose the language and to finance it, he calls on Iris, the head of the local twinning committee. The problem is that Mathias is a Spanish teacher. Between Mathias who doesn’t speak a word of German, teenagers in distress and an irrational Iris, the school trip will take on the appearance of gigantic chaos. However, nothing can stop him from becoming the father his daughter no longer expects… and to achieve his goals, he will have to become brilliant!” details the synopsis.
First feature film directed by Léo Grandperret, the film will also bring together Melha Bedia, Marie-Julie Baup and Jan Josef Liefers.
Become Awesome released in cinemas on June 17 in France.
