Prime Video armors its Reacher, Alan Ritchson, for years to come
The 41-year-old actor has just signed a major deal with the platform.
He was a hit on Netflix with the film War Machinelast year.
But Alan Ritchson is betting everything on Prime Video now. Massive Success Hero Reacherthe actor signed on to become a pillar of the platform.
He has just signed an exclusive three-year agreement with Amazon MGM Studios, a “first-look TV” deal which places Prime Video as priority over all its future TV projects developed via its production company Dancing Skeleton. In fact, any new project carried out by the actor must first be proposed to Amazon MGM Studios, which can choose to produce it or not.
Currently star and executive producer of ReacherAlan Ritchson continues to embody one of Prime Video’s biggest hits since the series’ launch in 2022. A season 4 is already in preparation, while a spin-off centered on Neagley’s character is also planned.
In a press release, the actor explains that this agreement is a natural continuation of the collaboration:
“With the success of Reacher and our upcoming spin-off Neagley, it seemed like the logical next step to continue our partnership with Prime Video, in order to continue creating very high-level series. Reacher is just the beginning.”
At the same time, Alan Ritchson remains very active within Amazon MGM Studios. He will soon share the poster of The Man With The Bag with Arnold Schwarzenegger, and also plays a leading role in another as-yet-untitled project centered on Mike Thornton, American hero of the Vietnam War. He recently finished filming.
With this new deal, Prime Video is locking in one of its most bankable faces… and ensuring that Alan Ritchson remains at the heart of its action strategy for years to come.
