Arnold Schwarzenegger becomes a judge in a video game boosted by artificial intelligence

The Terminator star has lent his voice and image to Courtroom Chaos, a new Amazon game in which players must defend their most absurd causes before a virtual judge played by the actor.

After having been a killer robot, a barbarian, a secret agent or even governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger adds an unusual new line to his CV: judge.

The actor stars in Courtroom Chaosa new game launched by Amazon on its cloud gaming platform Luna. Its concept? Transform the player into an improvised lawyer facing a Judge Arnold generated by artificial intelligence.

Gathered in front of a screen and equipped with their smartphones as controllers, the participants must defend all kinds of more or less eccentric causes in front of a digital version of the star of Terminator.

The particularity of the project is that it is the first time that Schwarzenegger has authorized the use of his voice and image in a game powered by generative artificial intelligence.

The virtual judge does not just read pre-written replies. He reacts in real time to players’ arguments, asks questions, interrupts debates, raises objections and ends up delivering a completely unpredictable verdict.

No game console. No storyline. No mercyé”, promises the official presentation of the game. “Only your voice, your creativity and the madness you will bring to court… as long as you survive Arnold’s cross-examination.”

The title has been available since June 23 for Prime subscribers and can accommodate one to six players. Four game modes are offered: a classic court, an action-oriented court, a single-player mode and even a mode allowing you to settle a bet with friends.

With Courtroom ChaosAmazon continues its experiments around artificial intelligence and interactive entertainment. The platform had already launched a first experience of the same kind last year with rapper Snoop Dogg.
