Matt’s ex resurrected on the set of Daredevil: Born Again

Dead people never stay dead for very long at Marvel. While season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again has already brought Jessica Jones and Luke Cage back to the MCU, the series is now preparing to resurrect one of the most significant figures in the Matt Murdock universe.

Videos and photos stolen from the filming of season 3, currently in production, confirm the return of Elektra, once again played by Elodie Yung.

In an extract of a few seconds (see below), the actress also appears hidden under a long black hooded coat before repeating a few movements with her famous twin sais. Other photos then reveal his new costume much more clearly. For her big comeback, Elektra swaps her old outfit for a sleeveless black jumpsuit with red accents, accompanied by a red headband in her hair, tactical boots and black and red gloves.

Unsurprisingly, these images immediately set social media alight. Many fans are delighted to find one of the most beloved characters in the Netflix series, even if others wonder about the logic of this return.

Because, last I heard, Elektra was dead! And rather twice than once…

Introduced in season 2 of Daredevil, on Netflix, the assassin first died fighting alongside Matt Murdock. Before being resurrected by the Hand in The Defenders. She then appeared to perish once again during the building collapse that concluded the 2017 miniseries.

But one detail always left the door open to a return: Daredevil was also in the building… and survived him. Marvel therefore seems to have decided that Elektra had also finally managed to escape.

Season 3 of Daredevil: Born Again will be released in 2027 on Disney Plus in France.
