After Task, we will find Mark Ruffalo in a family series: trailer
He replies to Lili Reinhart de Riverdale in Hal & Harper, a drama signed by the indie director Cooper Raiff.
While he is investigating in the excellent HBO Task series (right now in France on HBO Max) Mark Ruffalo will continue on the small screen, but in a new register.
Mubi unveiled the official trailer for Hal & Harper, an intimate drama carried by Ruffalo, but also Lili Reinhart and Cooper Raiff, creator of the series. This is Raiff’s very first television project, revealed with his films Shithouse (2020) and Cha Cha Real Smooth (2022), which he wrote, realized and interpreted. Hal & Harper was presented in preview in France, last March, during the Séries Mania festival. Lili Reinhart, former Riverdale, was leaving with the price of the best actress of the international competition.
The video (below) shows Mark Ruffalo as a father announcing his adult children that he is expecting a baby with his new partner. A revelation that upsets Hal and Harper, a fusional brother and sister, pushing them to revisit their past and face the weight of a co -dependent relationship. The trailer goes on tender moments and painful confrontations, between buried resentments and need to reinvent itself.
Created and produced by Raiff, Hal & Harper also counts on a solid cast: Betty Gilpin (Glow), Havana Rose Liu (Bottoms), Alyah Chanelle Scott (The Sex Lives of College Girls), Christopher Meyer and Addison Timlin. REINHART is also an executive producer, alongside Raiff, Clementine Quitner and Daniel Lewis.
Presented as a series “both ironic and deeply sincere”, Hal & Harper explores on eight episodes how the links in childhood shape – sometimes excess – the relationships of adulthood.
The series will be launched on October 19 on Mubi with two episodes, then continued at the weekly rate every Sunday until November 30.
