Invincible already renewed for season 6

Jack Quaid of The Boys joins the voice cast.

It is indestructible.

The future of Invincible is assured for several more years. On the occasion of the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, Prime Video announced that it had already ordered a season 6 of the series… while season 5 has not even been broadcast yet.

A particularly strong mark of confidence from the platform, which now makes Invincible its longest animated series to date. The announcement was made by the creator of the series, Robert Kirkman, during the first panel organized by Prime Video in Annecy, accompanied by Melissa Wolfe, head of animation at the studio.

The creator also revealed another surprise: Jack Quaid, already playing Hughie in The Boys, will join the voice cast of season 5. He will lend his voice to Gravitator, aka Chris, a new character from the comics. A preview (above) has even been revealed.

For Robert Kirkman, this early renewal is above all a reward for the fans.

“One of the greatest rewards of building Invincible over the years is seeing new audiences continue to connect with these characters and this universe, almost twenty-five years after their creation.” The screenwriter believes that this new order is as much a tribute to the public as to the teams of the series: “This renewal is as much a testimony to the passion of our fans as to the talent of the teams who bring the series to life.”

And Mark Grayson’s adventures are still far from over.

“There is still so much story to tell and I can’t wait for fans to see what awaits them in Seasons 5, 6… and beyond.”

A little sentence which suggests that a season 7 could already be in the cards.
