What does Egg, the young hero of the new series Game of Thrones: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, look like?

One hundred years before Game of Thrones, a great knight wanders Westeros with his young squire of legendary lineage.

Season 2 of House of the Dragon has just ended, and if some were afraid of having to wait two years before returning to the universe they love, the return to Westeros will happen sooner than expected with the upcoming broadcast of the new series from Game Of Thrones, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Officially announced in 2023 and unveiled via a first image revealing the former Irish rugby player, Peter Claffeyas main hero Ser Duncan, Max has released new visuals including a first look at Egg.

Adapted from the novel by George RR Martin, Chronicles of the Knight Errantthe plot follows the adventures of Ser Duncan and his squire Egg (real name Aegon V Targaryen, direct descendant of Rhaenyra) crossing Westeros in search of exploits to accomplish. At this time located halfway between House of the Dragon And Game Of Thronesa hundred years later, the dragon dynasty reigns and the people remember the last winged creature flying above their heads. In the skin of Egg, we will find Dexter Sol Ansell (Hunger Games: The Ballad of the Serpent and the Songbird).

Also present in the casting will be: Finn Bennett (True Detective: Night Country) as Egg’s brother, Aerion Targaryen, Bertie Carvel (Tea Crown) in that of Baelor Targaryen, Tanzyn Crawford (Tiny Beautiful Things), Daniel Ings (Sex Education) who will play Ser Lyonel Baratheon and Sam Spruell (Minesweepers, Cartel) who will play Maeka Targaryen. Recent arrivals include Steven Calvert, Abigail O’Regan and Rowan Robinson (Mystery in Venice).

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms will air in 2025. The series is part of the upcoming projects from the franchise, among which we will find three other series including one on Aegon’s conquest and another on Princess Nymeria’s conquest of Dorne (10,000 Ships), as well as four animated series, as yet untitled.
