Harris Dickinson would have given up on playing the next James Bond

Long cited among the favorites, the young English star of Babygirl would ultimately no longer be in the running to succeed Daniel Craig.

But one of the favorites on the starting line would have given up as the final sprint approached.

According to information from Hollywood insider Jeff Sneider, Harris Dickinson has withdrawn from the selection to play the next James Bond and will no longer participate in auditions.

For now, neither the British actor nor Amazon MGM Studios have confirmed or denied this information. Harris Dickinson was, however, among the names most regularly mentioned for more than a year to take on the famous costume of Agent 007.

The reasons for this supposed withdrawal remain unknown. The actor had nevertheless recently been unofficially dismissed by Debbie McWilliams, the former historic casting director of the saga. A decision which, according to her, had nothing to do with her talent, but was simply an artistic choice.

If this rumor is confirmed, several candidates would remain in a good position to land the role. The names of Louis Partridge and Jacob Elordi are particularly persistent among Amazon’s favorites.

For his part, Harris Dickinson already has a busy schedule: he will play John Lennon in the very ambitious project dedicated to the Beatles, made up of four feature films directed by Sam Mendes, expected in 2027. After Babygirl And Urchinthis role could definitely propel him among the most prominent young actors of his generation.
