Batmobile targeted during filming of The Batman 2

Videos from the shooting leaked online, showing the Batmobile coming under fire from Gotham police.

He’s not welcome in Gotham City!

New stolen videos from the filming of The Batman 2 show Robert Pattinson’s Batmobile being chased and then surrounded by Gotham police.

Filmed in the snowy streets of Glasgow, transformed for the occasion into Gotham City, the images show the Batmobile spinning several times while police and SWAT vehicles pursue it. Once surrounded, she was targeted at point-blank range by SWAT agents, who opened fire on the vehicle. Another special forces vehicle even crashes into the Batmobile.

A sequence that says a lot about Batman’s situation in this second part. In the first film, the hero had a complicated but ultimately constructive relationship with the Gotham police, particularly with Lieutenant Jim Gordon. This new scene clearly suggests that this alliance has been shattered.

Batman now seems to be considered an outlaw by law enforcement. It remains to be seen whether this break will also concern Gordon, still played by Jeffrey Wright, opposite Robert Pattinson in the role of Bruce Wayne.

The film’s cast also includes several newcomers, including Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan. Johansson’s role has not been officially revealed, but she has been rumored for several months as Gilda Dent, Harvey Dent’s wife. For his part, Sebastian Stan could play the latter.

Colin Farrell will also be back as Oz Cobb, aka the Penguin, although his appearance should be limited to a few scenes. The winter atmosphere of the filming also fueled speculation about a possible appearance of Mr. Freeze, although this has not been confirmed.

Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman: Part II will be released in theaters in France on February 16, 2028.
