Brad Pitt’s dog, star of the new Heart of the Beast trailer

David Ayer’s new film unveils a new trailer entirely devoted to Odin, Brad Pitt’s faithful four-legged companion. And obviously, the real hero of the film is him.

Brad Pitt won’t really be the star of Heart of the Beast.

In his new film, he plays Belmont, a former special forces member who finds himself trapped in the Alaskan wilderness with his fighting dog Odin. A duo forced to survive alone within a radius of nearly 90 kilometers, facing extreme weather conditions and predators in the region.

The new trailer, called “Strength”, this time puts Odin at the forefront. Played by Uber, a Belgian Malinois, the dog performs many exploits alongside his master: he comes to his aid after a fall in a river, helps him face wolves in the middle of the night, but also to fish, cross swamps or even survive on the battlefield.

And Brad Pitt himself assures us: “Odin is the star of the film. This is the most important element of this story and this experience was both surprising and special.”

The official synopsis details: “After a terrible plane crash, James Belmont (Brad Pitt), former special forces officer, finds himself lost in the heart of Alaska with his dog Odin, always at his side. Left to their own devices in a nature as magnificent as it is merciless, they will have to draw on their last strength to survive together..”

Directed by David Ayer (Fury, The Beekeeper), Heart of the Beast is produced by Damien Chazelle. Known for The Beekeeper, Suicide Squad, Bright or even A Working ManAyer is not, however, at the origin of the scenario of Heart of the Beastwritten by Cameron Alexander.

JK Simmons and Anna Lambe complete the cast.

Heart of the Beast will be released in French theaters on September 23, 2026.
