Having become a star of French comedy around her 70s, she continues to dynamite French pop comedy with her gentle madness and supersonic flow, like this week in theaters, in La Maison de nos rêve. Lunar interview since the filming of Household Scenes.
PREMIERE: How does it feel to finally see yourself on movie posters? Are you thinking, ‘I’ve been waiting for this my whole life’? Or do you not care?
CHANTAL LADESOU: Neither! I did a lot of theater, I had fun, I didn’t wait for the cinema. René Simon, my teacher, predicted everything: “Don’t wait for the cinema, do your theater, one day, maybe, someone will come and get you. But you will have a career very late.“I’m very slow, actually. Cinema is the icing on the cake: they put you on a pedestal, they invite you, they bring you your coffee, Paris Premiere will give you a call to interview you…
So, we are First quite simply. You are not disappointed, I hope?
