10 years later, Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly reunite in NCIS

Gibbs and Tony DiNozzo will finally share the screen again in an episode of NCIS: Origins.

Ten years after departures, it’s time for reunions.

Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly will once again play Gibbs and Tony DiNozzo face to face, in an episode of NCIS: Origins, broadcast this Tuesday, October 20 on CBS, in the United States (the series is not yet available in France).

The two actors had not shared the screen since the finale of season 13 of NCIS, in 2016, when Tony left the agency.

Obviously, thrills for lifelong fans.

And this return will not happen under any circumstances. Gibbs, shot and wounded by unknown assailants, goes to NCIS headquarters in Washington to ask DiNozzo for help. The latter has changed a lot since their last meeting: he is now the new director of the agency.

This reunion is part of a broader return of the two actors to the NCIS universe, since Michael Weatherly has reunited with the cast of the original series for its 24th season, launched on October 6. For his part, Mark Harmon remains very present in NCIS: Origins, of which he is executive producer and which he narrates. This season, he also appears in episodes through a plot set in our time, linked to his years spent at Camp Pendleton in the 1990s.

Launching in 2024, NCIS: Origins chronicles Gibbs’ beginnings within the Naval Investigative Service, before the events of the original series. Austin Stowell plays the young agent in the 1990s.
