Percy Jackson season 2: the trailer sails in the Sea of Monsters
Two years later, it’s time to leave for the Half-Blood Colony.
Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians is coming, and Disney+ has revealed a new trailer.
The trailer opens with Percy (Walker Scobell) in voiceover. He talks about his nightmares, which “show me the future or try to kill me.” Meanwhile, on a beach, Grover (Aryan Simhadri) is grabbed by a giant monster with tentacles. In the forest, Percy is attacked successively by a humanoid creature then by Luke (Charlie Bushnell), his former friend who joined Cronos at the end of season 1.
Percy then finds Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries). Both compare their visions: he dreams of Grover, she of the Half-Blood Colony. With them, Cyclops Tyson (Daniel Diemer). The three board a magical taxi driven by the three Gray Sisters (Sandra Bernhard, Kristen Schaal and Margaret Cho). Back at the camp, Dionysus (Jason Mantzoukas) tells them: “The danger hanging over the Camp is much greater than anything you can imagine.” Before their eyes, Luke poisons the tree that protects the camp…. Tantalus (Timothy Simons) then announces the quest: “To ensure our survival, you must leave for the Sea of Monsters.”
Everything is said.
Images follow of Percy, Annabeth and Clarisse in raging waters, in the middle of a storm. Then a voice – Cronus, obviously – orders: “Kill the son of Poseidon.” Percy collapses after a blow from Luke. And the trailer ends with a determined Percy declaring: “I’m not going to let a few stupid monsters get in my way.”
The quest begins and it promises to make us drink.
The first two episodes of season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians arrive December 10 on Disney+.
