Rhea Seehorn is preparing to shoot season 2 of Pluribus: “The script is crazy”
Good news for fans, the return of Vince Gillighan’s series is taking shape.
After the end of the broadcast of season 1 of Pluribus, celebrated by critics and rewarded at the Emmy Awards a few weeks ago, its creator Vince Gillighan had cooled fans of the series by warning them that they should probably be patient before seeing the continuation of Carol’s adventures.
“It’s going to frustrate some people, to be honest. We work at the speed at which we work, a bit like glaciers melt at their own pace (…) So yes, there will be some time between seasons.”
The showrunner and his writing team took their time, but today Pluribus worshipers can rest assured. Its heroine, Rhea Seehorn, has just announced that production will resume shortly at the microphone of Deadline: “I’m leaving very soon to shoot season 2”.
Awarded the first Emmy of her career for the role of Carol Sturka, a novelist confronted with an extra-terrestrial virus that has contaminated all of humanity except 13 people, the actress declares herself very impatient to return to the sets:
“It’s my family, my second family when I’m away from home. I can’t wait to be with Vince again and get back to work. His scripts are always the hardest and best things I’ve done, I have script one, that’s all I have, and it’s crazy!”
No official date has been communicated by Apple TV, but we can therefore hope for a broadcast of season 2 of Pluribus in the second half of 2027, two years after the first season.
