A new dark trailer for Hellboy: The Crooked Man

The fourth Hellboy movie still doesn’t have a release date, however.

At Comic Con 2024, on the superhero side, it wasn’t just Marvel (with Robert Downey Jr. returning to the MCU but as a super-villain) or for DC (with Colin Farrell as Penguin for the series of the same name). There was also a small place for Hellboy: The Crooked Manthe surprise fourth film in the franchise, which has unveiled a new trailer… which looks very much like an A24-style horror film, with its “twisted man” and possessed women with cracking bodies.

Set in the 1950s, and therefore a prequel to the two films directed by Guillermo Del Toro with Ron Perlman and the 2019 reboot with David Harbour (and panned by critics), Hellboy: The Crooked Man is directed by Brian Taylor (co-director of High tension with Jason Statham and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance with Nicolas Cage) and co-written by Mike Mignola, author of the character and the original comics. It’s Jack Kesy (seen in The Killer by David Fincher) who plays the kind monster-hunting demon. However, the film does not yet have a release date, neither French nor American…
