Armie Hammer returns to the cinema, three years after his sordid affairs
The actor accused of rape and cannibalistic tendencies will film his first feature film since Death on the Nile.
Ex-star in the making Call Me by Your Name, The Man from UNCLE but also Lone Ranger Or The Social Network, Armie Hammer saw his career come to a screeching halt in 2021, caught up in sordid and quite disturbing affairs. Several women have accused Hammer of sexual assault, rape and even cannibalistic tendencies… Never prosecuted due to insufficient evidence, the 38-year-old actor is preparing his return to the cinema.
According to Deadline, Hammer has been cast in Frontier Cruciblea western from director Travis Mills, also starring Thomas Jane, Myles Clohessy and Mary Stickley. The story will take place in the Arizona Territory of the 1870s, and will follow a “former soldier with a tragic past who finds himself thrust into an uneasy alliance with three outlaws, a beautiful woman and her wounded husband.”
Filming is scheduled to begin next month in Monument Valley and Prescott, Arizona. This will be the first production since Death on the Nile by Kenneth Branagh for Armie Hammerwho was fired by his talent agency, has lost his publicist and also several projects since the affair came out.
It should be noted that Frontier Crucible is not a studio film but an independent film. No, Armie Hammer still hasn’t really re-entered the industry.
