Bruno Dumont pays homage to space operas with the poster for The Empire

Fabrice Luchini, Camille Cottin and Lyna Khoudri are on board the ship piloted by the filmmaker.

A few weeks ago, we were amazed to discover the trailer for The Empirethe next film directed by Bruno Dumont. The filmmaker gives us his version of Star Wars, that is to say an extraterrestrial invasion in the north of France. A cinematic UFO of this kind had to have a poster at the level of its proposition.

Taking up the graphic codes of epic space operas, the poster of The Empire reveals some elements to us, notably the lunar looks (no pun intended) of Camille Cottin And Fabrice Luchini, as well as a glimpse of the spaceship at the bottom of the poster. The actress Anamaria Vartolomei (The event) brandishes nothing more and nothing less than a lightsaber in the center of the poster, an assumed quote from the universe created by George Lucas.

Lyna Khoudri, Julien Manier (Jane) And Brandon Vlieghe are distributed around the central point marked by the blue blade of the lightsaber. Our favorite investigators Dumont featured in his series Little Quinquin are also present in The Empire. The two actors Bernard Pruvost And Philippe Jore seem completely overwhelmed at the bottom of the poster, in the middle of a herd of cows.

The Empire will be released in cinemas on February 21, 2024.
