Bruno Salomone is dead: the actor from Don’t do this, don’t do that was 55 years old

The former member of the Nous C Nous band died this Sunday after a long illness.

Familiar face of French comedy and eternal Denis Bouley for millions of viewers, Bruno Salomone died this Sunday March 15 at the age of 55.

The announcement was made by his agent Laurent Grégoire to AFP, on behalf of his family:

“It is with immense sadness that we announce the disappearance of Bruno Salomone. He passed away this Sunday March 15 after fighting a long illness.”

For the general public, Bruno Salomone will forever remain the tender and clumsy father of the Bouley family in Fais pas ci, fait pas ça, a cult series broadcast for almost a decade on France 2 and which became one of the most popular family comedies on French television.

The actor’s career really took off in the 1990s. After a notable appearance on the show Graines de Stars in 1996, he exploded onto the Parisian scene at Carré Blanc where he met Éric Collado, Éric Massot, Emmanuel Joucla and Jean Dujardin. Together, in 1998, they founded the comedy troupe Nous C Nous, which quickly enjoyed great success on stage and on television.

Accomplice of Jean Dujardin

Over the years, Bruno Salomone will collaborate several times with Jean Dujardin on the small and big screen. We particularly remember his appearance in Brice de Nice (2005), where he plays Igor d’Hossegor, one of the blond surfer’s adversaries, a role he will reprise in Brice 3 (2016).

A very recognizable voice

But Bruno Salomone was also a voice. The actor has lent his voice to numerous projects, notably to the horse Jolly Jumper in Lucky Luke (2009) by James Huth, where Jean Dujardin played the famous cowboy.

Canal+ viewers also knew this voice very well: for years, he was the voice-over for the game Burger Quiz, presented by Alain Chabat.
