Franck Dubosc will wait until November 2027 to release his new film 5H48: Place des Martyrs

After A Bear in the Jura, the actor and director returns behind the camera with a much darker project.

After the success of A bear in the Jurawhich gave him his first César, Franck Dubosc continues with a new achievement. The filmmaker and actor directs 5:48 a.m.: Place des Martyrsa psychological thriller that will be a long wait, since Gaumont today announces a theatrical release on November 10, 2027… almost three years after his mountain thriller!

To wait, we discovered today the first official image, showing Dubosc behind the wheel of his bus, in the middle of the night.

Written by Franck Dubosc and Sarah Kaminsky, the film takes place in Le Havre. “Every morning, the 5:48 a.m. bus leaves the Place des Martyrs to begin his tour, led by Gilles, a discreet and tired driver. This morning, exhausted, despised by the administration and left by his wife, he takes his passengers hostage. While the police and media rush to the event, on the bus, the hostages, experiencing the same distress as Gilles, are perhaps not so innocent.…”

To bring this tension behind closed doors, Franck Dubosc surrounded himself with a prestigious cast made up of Catherine Frot, Benoît Poelvoorde, Vincent Macaigne, Sarah Suco, Kim Higelin, Denis Podalydès, Maria Kallimani, Armindo Alves and Valérie Karsenti.

Produced by Gaumont, with the support of Canal+ and the participation of Netflix, 5:48 a.m.: Place des Martyrs marks a new turning point for Franck Dubosc.
