The trailer for his new film, Blackmailhas just been released and it puts Keanu Reeves in the shoes of Reef Hawk, a Hollywood superstar whose image is threatened by the broadcast of a mysterious video. Determined to discover who is trying to extort him and why, he embarks on an introspective journey to confront his demons and attempt to right the wrongs he may have caused.
The film brings together a prestigious cast also including Cameron Diaz and Matt Bomer, while Susan Lucci, Laverne Cox, David Space, and even Martin Scorsese will make an appearance.
The official synopsis details: “Blackmail is a dark comedy in which Hollywood star Reef Hawk (Keanu Reeves) must face his old demons when he learns that a video of him is about to be revealed, threatening to destroy his image and end his career. Blackmail will be Jonah Hill’s first film role since You People (2023) and his third production after Mid90s (2018) and the documentary Stutz (2022). He is also preparing another comedy, Cut Offscheduled for July 17, 2026.
The film will be available Friday, April 10 on Apple TV for streaming.
