Killing Eve risen: a new series is in preparation

No Sandra Oh or Jodie Comer in this prequel devoted to the character that Fiona Shaw played in the original series.

Before Villanelle, before Eve, there was Honey.

Three years after the end of Killing Evecompleted in April 2022, after four seasons, the saga will return in the form of a new prequel series, a story centered on the youth of Carolyn Martens, the formidable agent of the Mi6 embodied by Fiona Shaw in the original show. SO Sandra Oh And Jodie Comer will not be back.

The BBC is associated with ZDF to develop this prequel which will be called Honey And will tell the origins of the British intelligence chief, a role which had earned two appointments to the Emmy Awards (best actress in a supporting role) to Fiona Shaw.

Described as a spy thriller tinged with black humor, Honey will be a mini-series of six episodes produced by Sid Gentle Films, already at the origin of Killing Eve. It is created by Emma Moran (Extraordinary), which co -written the scenario with Emme Hoy (Renegade Nell).

The plot takes place in East Berlin in 1982. “Marta, a young 24 -year -old agent operating under cover for the MI6, evolves in a hostile universe where each misstep could cost her life.
