Pluto: Naoki Urosawa’s Manga Finally Comes to Netflix (Trailer)

The project was announced 6 years ago at the Annecy Festival creating a craze among fans around the world, and Netflix finally announces the release of the anime Pluto on October 26, 2023. He is signed by host Toshio Kawagushi (evangelion, Porco Rosso) who will take his first steps as a director.
For those who don’t know yet, Pluto is the detective-style adaptation of the manga Astro, the little robot by Osamu Tezuka by Naoki Urasawa who pays tribute to his work while bringing it up to date. We dive into a world where humans and robots coexist. Robots also live, think and work. A code of laws governs their lives, such as the one that forbids them to kill a human. For some time bodies have been found and the investigation will be entrusted to Gesicht, a depressed robot who will have to find out who is murdering the most powerful robots in the world.
If you don’t have time to read the 8 volumes of Pluto which merge suspense and emotion, the anime will be an opportunity to discover the avant-garde dystopian universe of Urasawa.
