Spider-Man Returns in Exciting Brand New Day Trailer

Spider-Man: Brand New Day finally marks the best start in history at the US box office

Revised at 360 million dollars collected in three days in North America, the start of the weaver’s new film beats the record of Avengers: Endgame in 2019.

Solo stronger than team.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is already the cinematic phenomenon of summer 2026.

After establishing a new historical record on its first day of operation with 168 million dollars in revenue (including previews), stronger than the 157.4 million ofAvengers: Endgame in 2019, Destin Daniel Cretton’s blockbuster continued its stratospheric momentum.

First estimated at 355 million dollars, the new opus finally earned 360 million in three days in 4,487 theaters in North America. The feature film thus beats the absolute record held by Avengers: Endgame ($357.1 million in 2019), and goes down in history as the best opening of all time at the US box office.

This is obviously a historic record for Sony Pictures, far ahead of the 260.1 million achieved by Spider-Man: No Way Home in December 2021. It is also the best start to the career of director Destin Daniel Cretton, as well as Zendaya and also for Tom Holland.

Another reason for satisfaction for producers: Brand New Day reached these heights… without the support of IMAX theaters. As a result, Disney is already saying that, even without the premium screens which will be reserved for Dune: Part Three for Warner Bros., the potential is colossal for Avengers: Doomsdayexpected at Christmas.

Of course, Spider-Man: Brand New Day in the process succeeds in the largest North American launch of 2026, relegating its pursuers very far.

Toy Story 5, hitherto leader of the year with 160 million dollars at start-up, is now left behind, just like Super Mario Galaxy ($131.7 million) and The Odyssey ($124.5 million).

Christopher Nolan’s film, however, continues to impress over time. For its third weekend, the Homeric epic added another 51 million dollars (-43%) and brought its American cumulative total to 395.5 million at the US box office, which is already more than Oppenheimer in 2022. For its part, Toy Story 5 completes the weekly podium with 6.2 million (-39%), for a total of 461 million after seven weeks.

But it is above all on a global scale that the new Spider-Man panics the meters.

Brand New Day passes the billion dollar milestone in less than 5 days, the second largest global startup in history, only surpassed by the untouchable Avengers: Endgame ($1.223 billion). It would thus greatly exceed Avengers: Infinity War ($640.5 million) and Spider-Man: No Way Home ($600.5 million), confirming that, despite recent doubts around the genre, superheroes remain capable of moving crowds… when they throw spider webs…
