The composer of Euphoria slams the door with a “double F… you!”

“I’m done with this industry,” Labrinth wrote on social media.

Backstage clash before the release of season 3 of Euphoria.

Labrinth, Emmy Award-winning songwriter for the HBO series, slammed the door on post-production with an incendiary message denouncing the entertainment industry:

“I’M DONE WITH THIS INDUSTRY. F— COLUMBIA” wrote the 37-year-old British artist on Thursday evening, directly targeting his label, Columbia Records.

The musician, also nominated for the Grammy Awards, then attacked the series created by Sam Levinson and worn by Zendaya more explicitly:

“DOUBLE FUCK EUPHORIA. I’M OUT. THANK YOU AND GOOD NIGHT X.”

Labrinth did not go into detail and we do not know the origin of the discord.

Composer of the iconic Euphoria soundtrack since the first season, Labrinth has been nominated for four Emmy Awards for his work on the series. He won the 2020 award for Best Music and Best Lyrics for the song All for Us, used in the season 1 finale.

Last summer, HBO announced that composer Hans Zimmer would join Labrinth to write the music for season 3. At the time, the artist was enthusiastic. But the collaboration may not have yielded what he hoped for.

The third season of Euphoria is due to be broadcast on April 13 in France on HBO Max, more than four years after the end of season 2, concluded in February 2022.
