The grand finale of The Boys will be released in cinemas in the United States for ultra-sensory screenings
“Experience the final confrontation between Butcher and Homelander in 4DX,” Amazon announced in a press release.
The final episode of The Boys is just around the corner. And he’s going to amaze us.
It will not be content with a simple launch on Prime Video, but will also go through the cinema box, with an event broadcast in theaters in the United States and Canada. This latest episode will be screened on May 19 at 9:30 p.m. ET in various theaters at the AMC Theaters, Regal Cinemas, B&B Theaters, Marcus Theaters, Cineplex, Cinemark, Cinépolis and Regency Theaters complexes.
Even stronger: the projection will be in 4DX, an immersive format which relies on moving seats, vibrations and environmental effects (wind, rain, etc.) synchronized with the action on the screen. A way to transform viewing into a real physical experience. Just to feel each body tearing apart at the end of The Boys…
Amazon rejoices: “The multi-Emmy Award-winning series reaches its explosive conclusion. For one night only, experience the final showdown between Butcher and Homelander in 4DX, a spectacular final chapter shaped over five seasons. With everything on the line, the Boys make their last stand. Feel every deafening explosion and every shocking twist, amplified by a total sensory experience. Some moments are too big to experience from your couch. It’s not just a finale, it’s a bath blood on the big screen!”
Unfortunately, for the moment, no screening in France is planned and this theatrical release only concerns North America.
