Miles Caton and his cast mates took up their instruments to recreate this exceptional scene live, one of the most memorable of the past cinema year.

A moment suspended during this 98th Oscar ceremony.

The exceptional musical sequence of Sinnersfilmed in sequence by Ryan Coogler, took to the stage of the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles last night.

For the occasion, several members of the cast took up their instruments to recreate this moment of pure magic live, to the rhythm of the title I Lied To You. The song was also nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song (ultimately won by Goldenextract from the film KPop Demon Hunter).

It’s Miles Caton, aka Sammie in Sinnerswho kicked off the performance by plucking a few notes on his guitar. Very quickly, the scene transformed into a hypnotic musical interlude, recreating the energy and grace of one of the most memorable scenes of the past cinema year. Watch below:
