Remember the Baby Yoda phenomenon …

Star Wars is preparing his return to dark rooms, six years after The ascent of Skywalker (2019). The next film in the saga will be The Mandalorian and Grogudirect continuation of the Disney Plus series, produced by Jon Favreau, who also signs the scenario alongside Dave Filoni.

Lucasfilm has just unveiled the trailer, which puts the package on the little green monster, very present in the video (see below), especially during an adorable face to face with Sigourney Weaver …

The story always takes place after the fall of the Empire, a few years after The return of the Jedi In the wake of Episode VI.

The synopsis details: “The evil empire has fallen, but its imperial warlords remain dispersed to the four corners of the galaxy. While the New Republic tries to protect the heritage of the rebellion, it calls on the legendary Mandalorian premium hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and her young growing apprentice”.

The trailer therefore brings together Din Djarin – always played by Pedro Pascal under armor, with his growing friend, alias Baby Yoda. We discover epic clashes in the face of evil robots and galactic creatures. A few winks will also delight amateurs: the adorable little aliens of The ascent of SkywalkerBabu Frik and his band, as well as Zeb Orrelios of Star Wars Rebels. We even see a titanic fight against a creature close to the rancor in the arena of Rotta le Hutt, and a spectacular sequence where an AT-AT crashes at the slow motion along a mountain.

The film marks the return of Star Wars on the big screen and the trailer really promises an independent and fun adventure in the Galaxy of George Lucas, leaving aside larger mythology. The next opus, Star Wars: Starfightersigned Shawn Levy and expected for May 2027, with Ryan Gosling, Amy Adams, Matt Smith and Mia Goth, will also be in this vein.

By then, The Mandalorian and Grogu will be released in the cinema on May 20, 2026 in France.
