The new film by Cédric Klapisch goes back in time in the coming of the future: trailer

For the first time in his career, Cédric Klapisch will be in Cannes this year.

The arrival of the future therefore causes fate and Cédric Klapisch Will present for the first time a film in Cannes – excluding competition – from next week. A feature film that questions identity and relationship to time in an aesthetic canvas with colors that are both modern and older.
Synopsis: “Today, in 2024, around thirty people from the same family learn that they will receive an abandoned house for years. Four of them, Seb (Abraham Wapler), Abdel (Zinedine Soualem), Céline (Julia Piaton) and Guy (Vincent Macaigne) are responsible for making an inventory. These distant “cousins” will then discover hidden treasures in this old house. They will find themselves in the footsteps of a mysterious Adèle (Suzanne Lindon) who left her native Normandy, at 20 years old. This Adèle was found in Paris in 1895, when this city was in the midst of an industrial and cultural revolution. For the 4 cousins, this introspective journey in their genealogy will make them discover this particular moment of the end of the 19th century when photography was invented and impressionism was born. This face to face between the two eras 2024 and 1895 will question their present and their ideals and tell the meaning of: the coming of the future. “

The first images suggest an intrigue punctuated by the incredible epic of several characters who, over their travels, are transformed. The arrival of the future will surely be an opportunity to discover sumptuous period costumes in a carefully worked setting.
