The Three Musketeers – Milady: the poster for the sequel revealed
The second part of Dumas’ adaptation will give Eva Green a central place.
The Three Musketeers – Milady is the direct sequel to the first opus entitled D’Artagnanwhich introduced us to the character played by François Civiland his meeting with the three Athos musketeers (Vincent Cassel), Porthos (Pio Marmaï) and Aramis (Romain Duris). During an epic adventure aimed at foiling a plot against the throne of France, the musketeers came up against a formidable enemy: the mysterious Milady (Eva Green).
The poster for the film has just been revealed, along with an official synopsis: From the Louvre to Buckingham Palace, from the underbelly of Paris to the siege of La Rochelle… In a Kingdom divided by religious wars and threatened with invasion by England, a handful of men and women will cross their swords and link their destiny to that of France.
This suite is also produced by Martin Bourboulon and written by the duo Alexandre De La Patellière And Matthew Delaportewho are preparing the next adaptation of Monte Cristo with Pierre Niney. The poster of Milady takes up the logo of the Roman numeral “III” crossed out with a rapier, with the portrait ofEva Greenthe woman to be slaughtered, framed by the four musketeers.
The cast of the first part is still present in this sequel, with Louis Garrel in Louis XIII, Vicky Krieps in Anne of Austria, Lyna Khoudri in Constance Bonacieux, Eric Ruf in Richelieu and Marc Barbe as Captain de Tréville. They will be joined by a new head: Ralph Amoussou (Stars), in the role of Hannibal, a character inspired by Louis Aniaba, the first black musketeer in French history.
The Three Musketeers – Milady will be released in theaters on December 13, 2023.
