Thunderbolts*: but why is there an asterisk in the Marvel film?
“That’s the official title,” Kevin Feige mysteriously confirms.
This is perhaps a good way to rekindle the excitement around the Marvel Universe… Kevin Feige confirmed yesterday, during CinemaCon, that the Suicide Squad of the MCU will be officially titled Thunderbolts*asterisk included.
It all started from this video posted on Instagram last month by Florence Pugh. Behind the scenes of filming, fans noted that it was written everywhere Thunderbolts*, with an asterisk for punctuation. A mistake ? A random ? No way.
“Yes, you'll notice the asterisk on Thunderbolts. That is the official title of Thunderbolts and we won't talk more about that until after the movie comes out.” #CinemaCon pic.twitter.com/lN2lqS5Jog

“Yes, you may have noticed the asterisk that ends the title Thunderbolts*! That's the official title. It will indeed be called Thunderbolts*. Why? We'll say more… only after the film is released.”
This is very mysterious. Thunderbolts* is directed by Jake Schreier.
Around Florence Pugh in Yelena Belova, we will see Sebastian Stan in the role of Bucky Barnes, Hannah John-Kamen in the role of Ava Starr, Wyatt Russell in the role of John Walker, Julia Louis-Dreyfus in the role of Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, David Harbor as the Red Guardian, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster and Harrison Ford as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross.
Thunderbolts* will be released in cinemas on April 30, 2025.
