Watch behind the scenes of The Boys’ final fight

And the series now reveals behind the scenes of the final confrontation, this ultra-violent face-to-face between Homelander and Billy Butcher. New “behind-the-scenes” images show how the team shot this spectacular battle, in the heart of a totally destroyed Oval Office set at the White House.

Shared on the series’ official networks, the images show Antony Starr and Karl Urban filming this highly anticipated duel… but also joking between takes. Despite the brutality of the scene on screen, the two actors display an obvious complicity on the set. Antony Starr also took the opportunity to pay tribute to his partner: “Working with Karl and becoming his friend was one of the great moments of my career.”

The videos also reveal the extensive stunt and practical effects work put into this final sequence, with many shots shot using cables to simulate the superhuman clashes between Butcher and Homelander. Cameron Crovetti, who plays Ryan, also appears in several particularly impressive aerial shots.

The filming of this final battle seems to have been emotionally charged for the entire team of The Boys. The images show the actors and technicians gathered in the devastated setting after the end clap, to the applause of the set.
