Sandra Hüller causes a sensation in Berlin with the feminist drama Rose: first images
A queer and historical film sublimated by the actress of Anatomy of a Fall.
Revealed in 2006 in Requiemthen dedicated in 2016 with Tony Edermann, Sandra Hüller had an exceptional year in 2023, with two films awarded at the Cannes Film Festival, the Palme d’Or for Justine Triet, Anatomy of a fallAnd The Area of Interest by Jonathan Glazer (Grand Prix).
Nominated for the Oscars and the Golden Globes for best actress and then awarded the César in the same category thanks to these two roles, the actress is once again in the spotlight this year with Pink.

In Pinkdirected by Markus Schleinzer, a former casting director for Michael Haneke, Sandra Hüller plays a woman who, during the Thirty Years’ War (a series of armed conflicts that tore Europe apart in the 17th century) pretends to be a soldier. A challenge that piqued the actress’s curiosity, as she explained to The Hollywood Reporter :
“I liked the idea of playing someone like that and the possibility of creating a sort of monument for him, a testament in his name. I also wanted to know if I could do it. Because I found it to be a real challenge to play a person who disguises himself like that and who has lived such a story. I had never done this before.”
Rose is in the running for the Golden Bear, alongside the highly acclaimed Dao by Alain Gomis – the director of the New York Film Festival, Dennis Lim, described the work as “decisive for 2026” – and attracts all the praise at the Berlinale.
2026 promises to be a big year for Sandra Hüller, who we will also see shine alongside Ryan Gosling in Last Chance Projectwith Tom Cruise in the next film by Alejandro González Iñárritu, Diggeror even in the new Pawel Pawlikowski, 1949.
