The friends are reunited again, and they have completed their reunion!
The filming of Friends Forever 3 has officially ended.
Maria Ballo (Sally Lamonsoff) and Ada-Nicole Sanger (Donna Lamonsoff) announced the news on Instagram.
The first says “thank you” to her friends while the second reveals a photo of the cake celebrating the end of production:
“It’s in the can for Grown Ups 3! I love you all and can’t wait for the whole world to see what we’ve been up to!”
For this third part, Adam Sandler obviously finds his accomplices Chris Rock, Kevin James, David Spade and Rob Schneider. as well as Salma Hayek and Maya Rudolph.
A few newcomers join the gang, including Julie Bowen, Deon Cole and Bailee Madison. The production was entrusted to Kyle Newacheck, already behind the camera of Happy Gilmore 2. Adam Sandler wrote the screenplay with Tim Herlihy.
After following five childhood friends united around their families and their sometimes chaotic adventures, the franchise offers a new chapter. This time, the children have grown up and the parents can finally think about them.
The official synopsis sets the tone: “Now that their children are all adults, the gang is finally free to set off on the ultimate adventure.”
Released in 2010, the first Friends forever had enjoyed great success at the box office with $270 million in worldwide revenue, giving rise to a sequel in 2013. More than ten years later, the five friends will be hitting the road again, with a new generation now big enough to get by without them.
Netflix has not yet announced an official release date. Chris Rock, however, recently mentioned a possible arrival in the summer of 2027.
