Anne Hathaway will disappear until the filming of Days of Thunder 2

The star, who will soon give birth to her third child, will take a break after a particularly busy year, before joining Tom Cruise on the circuits in March 2027.

After a particularly busy year, marked by the release of five films, including The Odyssey And Prada 2while pregnant with her third child, the actress is going to take a break.

She has just announced that she is going to take a few months of well-deserved rest. But not too much either: she plans to return to work next March….

Invited by Entertainment Tonight, Anne Hathaway confirmed that she would begin filming Days of Thunder 2 in March 2027:

“My next film, Verity, comes out on October 2 and on October 3, I’m going to disappear in a cloud of smoke… I’m clearly going to disappear, because I need to take some time for myself. And then, yes, I will join Tom on the circuits in March...”

Paramount announced last August that Days of Thunder 2 will be released in cinemas on June 2, 2028.

Tom Cruise and Anne Hathaway have already taken the break to show the project has entered the pre-production phase. In the film, Hathaway will play the owner and engineer of a racing team. She will therefore share the screen with Cruise, who will reprise his role as Cole Trickle, the NASCAR driver he played in the original film. This sequel to the late Tony Scott’s 1990 classic has been in the works for several years. Jonathan Levine has since been in discussions to direct the film, based on a screenplay by Will Staples.

Until then, we will find Anne Hathaway in Verityon September 30 at the cinema in France, opposite Dakora Johnson and Josh Hartnett. A disturbing thriller adapted from Colleen Hoover.
