James Bond 26: Robert Pattinson and Nicholas Hoult try their luck!
Two new British stars have auditioned for the most coveted job of the moment in Hollywood.
Two new names were added at the last minute to the list of contenders for number 007…
According to VarietyRobert Pattinson and Nicholas Hoult both had trials in London at the end of October to play the next James Bond 26, succeeding Daniel Craig, who hung up the tuxedo after fifteen years of good and loyal service.
The two British actors obviously have the profile to take on the role of cinema’s most famous spy. They also know perfectly the requirements of major Hollywood franchises: Pattinson donned the Batman cape for DC Studios, after going through the sagas Twilight And Harry Potter. For his part, Hoult plays Lex Luthor in the films Superman of DC and participated in the trilogy X-Men of the 2010s. As a bonus, he has just worked with the Amazon studio to How to rob a bankproduced by Amazon MGM Studios and expected in theaters this November 11 in France. There is also the question of age: at 40, Robert Pattinson seems a little old to play the young James Bond desired by Amazon.
Nicholas Hoult, 36, is on the other hand in the same age bracket as the three favorites currently mentioned: Callum Turner, Josh O’Connor and Jack Lowden, all born in 1990.
So when will we have the final word on this (very) long casting process? For now, Denis Villeneuve is still busy promoting Dune 3. But the film is over. And the filmmaker could quickly turn to James Bond 26which does not yet have a release date.
