Michael B. Jordan defeats Timothée Chalamet and Leonardo DiCaprio at the 2026 Actor Awards

Michael B. Jordan won a new battle… before the other?

Sinners emerges as the big winner at the 2026 Actor Awards (formerly Screen Actors Guild Awards) which were held last night in Los Angeles. The vampire film set in the segregationist South emerged as the shock of the evening, winning the supreme prize for Best Ensemble in a Feature Film. And its main actor, Michael B. Jordan, also leaves crowned with the personal trophy for Best Actor.

A small feat that resonates, because the competition against him was tough: Michael B. Jordan notably beat Timothée Chalamet in Marty Supreme and Leonardo DiCaprio in One Battle after another as well as Ethan Hawke in Blue Moon and Jesse Plemons in Bugonia.

A victory as an omen in view of the next Oscars, where Leo is no longer a favorite at all. Not crowned at the Golden Globes, nor at the BAFTAS nor at the 2026 Actor Awards, DiCaprio will clearly be an outsider against Michael B. Jordan, against Timothée Chalamet and even against Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent).

Among the actresses, there is Jessie Buckley and the others. The star of Hamnetwhere she plays a mother devastated by mourning, gleans a new statuette, which sounds like a ticket to the Oscar.

On the series side, the Actor Awards 2026 rewarded The Studio which dominates with three awards, closely followed by the ultra-realistic medical drama The Pittwhich confirms its status as a phenomenon.
