What is the worst movie of the year? The 2026 Razzie Awards winners

The War of the Worlds, Ice Cube version, and the 7 dwarfs from Snow White took it all live.

On the eve of the Oscars, Hollywood’s traditional counter-prize list delivered its verdict last night.

At the 46th Golden Raspberry Awards, also called the Razzie Awards, the science fiction film War of the Worlds established itself as the big “winner”, winning several of the industry’s least envied trophies, including that of Worst Film of 2026.

The feature film worn by Ice Cube also earned the star the Worst Actor award. The performer and rapper beat Abel Tesfaye in this category for Hurry Up TomorrowDave Bautista for In the Lost Lands, Scott Eastwood for Alarum and Jared Leto for Tron: Ares.

It should be noted that this “Covid” version of the War of the Worldsmade without money, had already achieved the feat of obtaining a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes. A rare score.

The awards show parody – whose members annually recognize what they consider to be the worst productions – also made a point of honoring Disney’s work on Snow White in live-action, by offering two trophies to the 7 digital dwarves who accompanied Rachel Zegler’s delicate journey in this much-maligned live-action adaptation.

On a more positive note, the ceremony awarded the “Razzie Redeemer Award” to Kate Hudson for her performance in Song Sung Bluewhich earned her an Oscar nomination on Sunday evening for the Best Actress award. A little surprise for the one who has mainly accumulated Razzie nominations throughout her career (for My Best Friend’s Girl in 2008, for Mother’s Day in 2016 and for Music in 2021).
