All the sacred series at Séries Mania 2026: the complete prize list

It’s a Polish series from HBO Max that won the Grand Prix this year. And TF1 won the prize for Best French Series thanks to Grandiose.

After an intense week full of screenings, meetings and masterclasses, Séries Mania 2026 has closed its doors. Once again, the Lille metropolis welcomed a crowd of enthusiasts. Attendance is up, with 112,000 participants, 4,000 more than last year, including 9,000 schoolchildren, the festival confirms its popular roots. Same dynamic on the Forum side, which brought together 5,200 professionals from 75 countries, in a context of international openness and intensified networking.

So which series marked this 9th edition in Hauts-de-France?

The jury, chaired by Icelandic director and screenwriter Benedikt Erlingsson, crowned Proud, a Polish series produced by HBO Max, Grand Prize in the International Series Mania 2026 Competition. It tells the story of Filip, a young gay man, cheeky and irresponsible, convinced that the world belongs to him. When a family tragedy breaks out, his egocentrism turns into a persistent feeling of guilt. Ignacy Liss also won the Best Actor Award. The Best Actress prize was awarded to Amanda Jansson for the Swedish thriller My Brother (broadcast by the Scandinavian channel SVT).

On the French side, it is the excellent TF1 series Grandiose, around a school attended by adolescents suffering from eating disorders – with Catherine Frot as head of the establishment – which was crowned Best Series in the French Competition. Karim Leklou wins the Best Actor trophy for his incarnation of an Elf executive in the series 70’s Eldorado (soon on Arte). Manon Kneusé won Best Actress for another Arte series, Comrades, a chronicle about an experimental university during May 68.
