The 6th film in the John Wick saga has just started filming

Donnie Yen himself announces that Caine will take his cane back.

The universe of John Wick continues to expand.

A sixth film has now officially started filming: the spin-off centered on Cainethe hitman who became blind and played by Donnie Yen in John Wick: Chapter 4has just started production.

The actor is not only reprising his role: he is also behind the camera as a director.

On the networks, Donnie Yen shared an image of the filming clapperboard with a simple message: “Here we go…”

This new film will therefore continue the story of the character introduced in John Wick 4 A former blind assassin, Caine had been forced out of retirement for a mission related to the High Table. Although he obtained his freedom at the end of the film, his actions left their mark. He is now hunted by Akira (played by Rina Sawayama), determined to avenge the death of his father, Shimazu Koji. The spin-off will extend this hunt.

This will be the sixth feature film from the franchise, after the four main films, and the spin-off Ballerinato which we can add the series The Continental.

Note that Keanu Reeves should not appear in Cainefor the first time since the beginning of the saga. On the other hand, a film John Wick 5 is well on the shelves of the Liongate studio.

For now, Caine has no release date.
