Trailer: Series Mania 2026 Grand Prix is coming to HBO Max

Proud, the Polish series awarded in Lille, will arrive in France on June 12.

Crowned Grand Prix of the international competition at the last Mania Series, Proud is now preparing to try to conquer the general public.

The new Polish HBO Original series will be launched in France on HBO Max from Friday June 12, with one episode per week until the finale scheduled for July 31. The trailer is here (below).

Presented as a world premiere in Lille, this creation produced by TVN Warner Bros. Discovery quickly caused a sensation among the jury and festival-goers alike. Its main actor, Ignacy Liss, even won the best actor prize thanks to his very remarkable performance.

Comprised of eight episodes, Proud follows Filip, a carefree young gay man who lives under the illusion that the world is his oyster and that nothing can disrupt his carefully cultivated freedom. Arrogant, impatient, strikingly handsome and very young, Filip masks his deep insecurities behind a bravado and the admiration he commands as a model. When an unexpected family tragedy turns her world upside down, her world begins to fall apart. Suddenly faced with a responsibility he never wanted, Filip must face a crucial question: can he care for a young child without losing his independence and without sacrificing everything that has given meaning to his life so far? At the same time, he is forced to confront guilt, his personal failures, his own weaknesses and the weight of social prejudices. This is the beginning of the most important and complex journey of his life.

The series also brings together Maria Sobocińska, Kamil Studnicki, Maja Ostaszewska, Joanna Kulig and Piotr Pacek.

Behind the camera, Proud is directed by Karol Klementewicz, who also pens the screenplay with Monika Pęcikiewicz, while photography is handled by Weronika Bilska.
