In this dark and feverish account, Christian Bale embodies the Monster of Frankenstein, “Who goes to Chicago in the 1930s and asks Dr. Euphronious (Annette Bening), a visionary scientist, to create a companion. Together, they resuscitate a murdered young woman, and the fiancée comes to life (Jessie Buckley)! But the continuation of the events goes beyond everything they could have imagined: murders, possessions, and an outlaw couple who find themselves at the center of a radical and unbridled social movement, and a story of passionate and tumultuous love! “
Inspired by both Frankenstein’s fiancé by James Whale and the founding novel of Mary Shelley, the film also brings together in the Penélope Cruz cast in the role of Myrna, Peter Sarsgaard, Julianne Hough and Jake Gyllenhaal.
