Martin Scorsese’s daughter denies being targeted for season 2 of Mr & Mrs Smith

Faced with the scathing attacks of which she is the victim on social networks, the young 26-year-old actress responds in an unfiltered video.

Martin Scorsese’s daughter has had enough of the piston accusations. After the announcement of his casting in season 2 of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the Prime Video series, Francesca Scorsese spoke on TikTok to respond to the wave of hatred and insults that she has received for several days. The young actress, youngest daughter of the legendary director, explains having discovered some of the “most horrible” comments she has ever read about him after the announcement of her arrival in the Prime Video series.

“There are some of the worst comments I’ve ever seen about myself,” she says in a video posted to TikTok.

Since the start of her career, Francesca Scorsese says she has been accustomed to accusations of “nepo baby” (this term used to designate the children of celebrities accused of having succeeded thanks to their parents.) But this time, she believes that the attacks have crossed a line, in particular because they now affect her physical appearance:

“I understand. I know that certain doors have opened for me,” she admits, talking about her father’s influence. “But I still continue to work hard, be passionate, create and do the work.”

The 26-year-old actress then directly targets Internet users who spend their time watching hate videos.

“If you go to people’s videos just to look for negativity, then you are an extremely sad person.”

In her video, she repeats several of the insults received in recent days: “fat”, “ugly”, “fridge” or even “Miss Piggy”.

“I know I’m not the most beautiful girl in the world. I know I’m not the thinnest either. I’m curvy, I know that. But why does that matter at all?”

Faced with this wave of harassment, Francesca Scorsese even explains having already left X, the old Twitter, because of the toxic comments. And according to her, TikTok is now starting to become the same thing: “There are so many trolls, so many bots and so many people who go online just to ruin someone’s day or make them feel like shit!”

Above all, the young woman reminds us that this type of harassment can have dramatic consequences.

“This is exactly the kind of thing that causes some people to lose their lives. Words have power. I know I have this huge figure, my dad, that I have to be compared to. And it always ends up overshadowing the person that I am. Honestly guys… I just wish TikTok would be a better place like it used to be.”

Francesca Scorsese will soon appear in season 2 of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. She will play “another Jane”. The rest of the cast is not yet known.
