The two ex-Stars of Vampire Diaries will meet again in a new series

Nine years after the end of the vampire teen series, Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley will star together on screen in a new dramatic thriller…

This is a reunion that Vampire Diaries fans were no longer hoping for.

Nearly ten years after the end of the cult CW series, Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley will once again share the poster for the same project. The two actors will headline You Deserve to Know, a new drama series currently in development at Hulu, according to Deadline. In France, the series should be broadcast on Disney+.

Adapted from the eponymous novel by Aggie Blum Thompson, published in 2025, the plot will follow three suburban couples, neighbors and best friends for years. But the murder of one of the husbands will bring to light a series of secrets which will destroy their friendship.

Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley will play Gwen and Scott, two neighbors who find themselves on opposite sides of the investigation. As the darkest truths rise to the surface, their characters are drawn into an inevitable confrontation.

The pilot is written by Rachel Tanen, who herself adapts the novel by Aggie Blum Thompson.

The two Mystic Falls alumni will not only be in front of the camera since they will also serve as executive producers of the series.

This reunion necessarily has a special flavor for Vampire Diaries fans. Between 2009 and 2017, Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley played Elena Gilbert and Stefan Salvatore, at the center of one of the most iconic love triangles of 2010s teen television, with Ian Somerhalder aka Damon Salvatore, since removed from the sets.

We therefore had to wait nine years to see Elena and Stefan reunited on screen again… even if this time, there will no longer be any question of vampires.
