First trailer for the Baywatch sequel starring Stephen Amell

Nearly forty years after its launch, Baywatch is back with new lifeguards in red swimsuits.

The beach is once again under surveillance! Fox has just revealed the very first teaser for the new version of Baywatch, expected in January 2027 on the American channel.

These first images show Stephen Amell, Jessica Belkin and Noah Beck running on the sand, diving into the waves and making rescues, before the whole team meets up for drinks. “The most beautiful job in the world!”

This new series will directly continue the story of Baywatch, launched in 1989. At its peak, in 1996, the series became the most watched program in the world, broadcast in more than 200 countries and followed each week by more than a billion viewers.

This time, Stephen Amell will play Hobie Buchannon, the son of the legendary Mitch Buchannon, formerly played by David Hasselhoff. Having in turn become captain of the rescuers, he will see his own daughter, played by Jessica Belkin, join the team in order to perpetuate the family tradition. The cast also includes Shay Mitchell, Hassie Harrison, Noah Beck, Thaddeus LaGrone and Brooks Nader. Influencer and gymnast Livvy Dunne will make her acting debut, while David Chokachi, one of the iconic faces of the original series, will reprise his role as Cody Madison in several episodes.

No French date has yet been announced.
