Jacob Elordi recounts his ordeal on the set of season 3 of Euphoria

The actor reveals he spent two days locked in a coffin… with a real snake.

Season 3 of Euphoria was not easy for Jacob Elordi.

Guest of the show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and opposite Colman Domingo, who is also in the cast of the HBO series, the actor returned with humor to the particularly trying conditions of filming the death of his character, Nate Jacobs.

In this final season, Nate spends his time fleeing a mobster and his henchmen after a real estate deal goes wrong. Episode after episode, the character is severely beaten, before experiencing a particularly macabre end: buried alive then bitten by a rattlesnake!

“I think Sam Levinson brought me back just to torture me. For six weeks, I was beaten up by guys over six feet tall. I spent the time running. And finally, I spent two days locked in a coffin, for real, covered in prosthetics, with a fake tongue! I could barely see anything. I was practically in complete darkness during that time… And then, Sam decided to add a snake with me in that coffin!”

Jacob Elordi actually spent hours, locked in a coffin, to film the sequence. With one small difference: the reptile with which he shared these intense moments was not a rattlesnake, but a boa constrictor, a less aggressive species, which was subsequently modified in post-production:

“This boa had an adorable character. He was very calm, very sleepy. I think he hadn’t had much sun… It was me who tried to stimulate him so that he would move a little and look menacing. But he behaved like a little dog and spent his time wrapping himself around my feet!”

An experience that Jacob Elordi will remember for a long time… We will soon find him on the big screen in The Dog Stars, the new film by Ridley Scott, expected in French theaters at the end of August.
